Notable New Bookblog

And not just because it’s by one of my favorite people. Well, maybe because of that, because Nathan is one of my favorite people because he’s a good read.

He’s got a new gig at the Books and Culture Corner. His thoughtful treatment of difficult subjects is typical, and makes me want to hear more.

So go see.

I’m confused. I read of few entries at his site, part of his article, part of his first chapter. He is a very good writer and negotiates his way through difficult subjects with one eye above, looking down at BOTH sides. This makes for wonderful diplomatic conveyance. But, I thought (looking left at the long column of athiest citings) that you were atheist. See? Confusion.
(I am atheist, but I appreciate the need for religions still, with an eye on the future–evolution and all that.)

Being an atheist doesn’t prevent me from having plenty of Christian friends, like Nathan.

I didn’t mean to offend you or your position. I was merely looking for clarification. I, too, have many friends of many faiths, which is where I learned an appreciation for a vast array of religious observances.

No offense taken. 🙂 I’m just tired.
