Home for good

I just got the call.

Bill has a visa good for two years, by which time he’ll have a green card and be on the way to US citizenship. He’ll be home on Wednesday.

Apparently, the interview at the Consulate is just a simple formality. Because of the cryptic nature of the written communication, and the complete lack of any other communication, we were needlessly put through the ringer. Ah well. This part is over, and I’m glad.

Excuse me while I go collapse in a relieved heap.

    Hi, Cat,
Just thought I’d stop by… and saw this. Can I relate! My hubby’s from Morocco, and we’ve been through this red tape. He’s applied to become a citizen so we’re waiting for that. Anyway, congrats! Celebrate!

I stopped by because I thought I saw somewhere (Rebecca Blood’s site?) that you’d started a food blog? ‘Zat so?

    Hi Shaun–

    Not really a food blog. It’s about simplicity/homekeeping: http://www.kissliving.com .

  7. Shaun says:

    Ah… thanks!

Congrats! I’m glad you made it through the red tape and all is as it should be. And totally selfishly, I’m glad this interview thing at the Consulate is more a formality, I have to do this too, one of these days, soon, and the things I hear from the consulate and most importantly don’t hear have put me on edge. I hope you and Bill have celebrated, a lot by now!
