Monstro The Couch

World, meet couch:

It’s a bad picture as it was taken in the evening, when Prisolm first decided to bond with the new furniture. It is huge, green, and covered with corduroy. To give you some perspective, that is not a cute little kitty in the middle–it’s a 17-pound continent of a cat, and Monstro swallows her. She loves it, and so do we.

Hello couch!! You do look comfy.Quite interesting that though you are green the photo shows you as brownish – possibly exactly as Bill sees you!!
Hope Prisolm plans to share the comfort!

Is it enjoying being roomies with the hutch? They look like they would be a good match.

  3. Cat says:

Judith: Yes, that’s exactly how Bill sees Monstro. He was rather surprised to discover it was a forest green. As long as we’re both happy with the color, it’s good.

Jenn: Boy, I thought the hutch dominated the room unti Monstro moved in. The hutch, because of it’s size, is about the only thing in proportion now.

I don’t care what colo(u)r it is, it’s the perfect napping couch. Mmmmmmm.

    Cat,

this picture cracked me up, esp. the comment about the 17lbs cat being swallowed up. Not a chance really, your cat totally owns your new couch, why else would s/he (???) sit in the middle where you can’t really sit comfortably on the couch also. My 6 lbs. cat (Freyja) does that all the time, i.e. the lounging in the middle of places that are really meant for me and thus not leaving me much space … love her anyway, a lot!

    Nice couch by the way!

Awesome couch. Is it nice and comfy?

We’re in the market for a couch… where’d you get yours from?

  8. Cat says:

It’s actually a bit *too* big. I’ve learned to be comfy on it, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone under, say, 5’11”. It is a great napping couch.

Ours came from Michael’s Fine Furniture, a local shop, and the couch is also made locally (though I can’t remember the manufacturer).
