Tombstones in various stages of completion. The one on the left is “Eaton Biabear”. I’m sure you can read the one on the right in the larger version, so I won’t spoil it.

These look great! I love “Eaton Biabear”. What a riot. I did a series of cardboard ones once (not fancy at all) and they had a dental theme – I helped my brother (a dentist) throw a Halloween party at his place in Vermont. I’ll have to drag them out and take pics of them…perhaps for one of the 13 days of Halloween???

So will the 13 Days just be neato Halloween-y posts?

Hey, I’ve been swamped, so I’ve neglected my Halloween responsibilities…my apologies! I’m thinking we should start posting 13 days before Halloween…I was talking to a friend about this, and we’re thinking we should base it on the partridge in a pear tree…like on the first day of Halloween my true (perhaps something other than ‘love’? Perhaps ‘true ghoul gave to me’?) and then just have random stuff…like six tombstones…or three rats with fangs…or 10 scurrying cockroaches…something like that? It would be funny to see what we each come up with. Oh – did I mentioned the carved beets? I’ll have to post them – they’re incredible – I almost like them better than pumpkins (although you can’t put a candle inside of them…).
